Enhancing Political & Civic Engagement
- Encourage District & Local “Days at the Capital” Initiative to foster local relationships with key policy thought leaders, and modernize our national, “A Voteless People, Is a Hopeless People” program.
- Train Brothers interested in running for Public Office & Elections Management
- Provide Brothers training on “How to Successfully Campaign for Office”
- Provide Brothers training on “How to Establish an Effective Campaign Infrastructure”
- Establish “Eastern Region Public Policy Institute”: The institute shall facilitate topical briefings, analysis and issue advocacy on a myriad of topics facing our local communities, assisting chapters in responding to events in real-time.
- Utilize technology via theme-based webinars to provide on-site and virtual discussions on emerging topics and issue advocacy to promote community awareness, brotherhood engagement and training in between the Eastern Regional Staff Meeting and Eastern Regional Convention.
- Post Census 2020 Trainings on Political Representation: We must ensure the interest of our communities is represented, after the Census, and into the next phase of voter education.
- Motivate and provide Brotherhood training to expand civic participation in the legislative redistricting process, and provide greater local community awareness.
